Your Concierge CFO was founded by a former CFO to provide small and mid-sized Housing Authorities, nonprofit organizations, and small businesses with access to experienced, executive-level financial leadership—without the cost or commitment of a full-time CFO. The firm is led by Khadija "Khay" Darr, MBA, MPA, MSAC, a seasoned finance executive and former Public Housing Authority CFO and Senior Vice President with extensive experience navigating HUD-regulated environments, complex compliance requirements, and mission-driven financial operations. After over a decade of serving in senior leadership roles within public housing and government-adjacent organizations, Khay recognized a common challenge; many organizations need committed and strategic financial leadership, cash flow clarity, and compliance expertise—but not always on a full-time basis. This is where our fractional CFO consulting firm began.
Our Founder Khadija "Khay" Darr brings a rare blend of public-sector financial leadership, regulatory expertise, and practical cash flow strategy to every client engagement. Her background includes serving as Staff Accountant, Finance Director, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer, and Senior Vice President for public housing authorities and nonprofit organizations, where she provided executive oversight for agency-wide financial strategy, including operating budget formulation, HUD regulatory compliance, audit governance, cash flow optimization, and board-level financial reporting to support informed decision-making.
Throughout her career, Khay has worked closely with Executive Directors, Boards of Commissioners, nonprofit leadership teams, and small business owners to stabilize finances, strengthen internal controls, and implement systems that support sustainable growth.
